Drosera capensis 'All Red' – The Fiery Cape Sundew

Species Overview:
This striking cultivar of the South African Cape Sundew, Drosera capensis, is beloved for its intense red coloration throughout the leaves, stems, and sticky dew. The red pigmentation deepens with strong light, making it a showstopper in any carnivorous plant setup. Like all D. capensis varieties, it's hardy, fast-growing, and incredibly effective at catching insects.

General Care:

• Light: Needs strong, direct light to develop and maintain its vivid red color. Full sun outdoors or a high-quality grow light indoors works best.

• Water: Keep soil consistently wet using only rain, distilled, or RO water. Sit the pot in a shallow tray of water and never let it dry out.

• Humidity: Does well in average to high humidity. Tolerant of lower humidity with good watering.

• Fertilizer: No fertilizer needed if catching insects. If growing indoors, you can offer a small insect or use a diluted foliar feed (¼ strength) once monthly.

• Pest Control: Naturally handles fungus gnats and other small insects. Check occasionally for aphids or spider mites. Treat gently with neem or soap if needed.
