Meet Your Instructors
Claire Koneman - Tuesday Mornings
Hi, I’m Claire. I teach at Elderflower Studio in Wynberg to share my love for ceramics and creativity with others. Whether you’re picking up clay for the first time or revisiting an old hobby, I’ll make sure you leave with new skills, confidence, and a handmade ceramic piece you’ll be proud of.

Meet your Instructors
Johan De Meyer - Thursday evenings
Johan de Meyer isn’t your typical potter — he originally trained as a journalist but found his way into clay while helping to grow Macassar Pottery, where he had helped build Macassar Pottery into a place where young people without formal schooling can learn real skills and earn a living. Since the Covid pandemic, Johan decided to shift gears and now practices as a trained life-coach as well as pottery teacher for Elderflower. He brings a grounded, human-centred approach to teaching, rooted in years of working alongside makers and learners in his community.
Our Location – Wynberg, Cape Town
We’re based at 34 Constantia Main rd in Wynberg, just minutes from the M3 highway and Claremont, Constantia, and Kenilworth.
